To better serve the Macao S.A.R. through diplomatic work and providing convenient and comfortable services for visa applicants in Macao, holders of ordinary foreign passports are requested to submit visa applications via the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Macao (hereinafter referred to as the "Visa Application Center") from December 16, 2021. The Consular Department of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao S.A.R. will no longer directly accept visa applications from ordinary passport holders. Applicants can log on to the Visa Application Center website (http://www.visaforchina.org) to fill in an online application form and make an appointment, then go to the Visa Application Center for processing at the appointed time.

2. The Visa Application Center has no decision on visa approval. The consular officer of the Commissioner's Office will decide whether to issue a visa, its validity, duration of stay and number of entries based on the applicant's personal circumstances. The consular officer may request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or supplementary materials according to the specific situation, or an interview.

3. The Visa Application Center will charge a certain amount of service fee in addition to the visa fee and express service fee collected on behalf of the Commissioner's Office. For more information, please contact the Visa Application Center.

4. Applicants holding diplomatic or service (official) passports or applying for Chinese diplomatic, courtesy or service visas may still submit applications directly to the Consular Department of the Office without an appointment. The Consular Department of the Office will continue to accept applications for consular authentication, passports and travel documents for Chinese citizens.
