Spokesman of the Commissioner's Office on Bomb Blasts in the Southern Philippine City of Zamboanga (17/10/2002)

After the bomb blasts in the southern Philippine city of Zamboanga on 17 October, the Commissioner's Office has been following closely the situation in the city and immediately got in touch with the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines soon after the incident. According to the latest information from the Embassy, no Macao resident is found killed or wounded during the blasts. The Commissioner's Office will continue to follow this incident and keep close contacts with the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines.
